Christmas is truly my favourite time of year. I love the outpouring of generosity and goodwill that occur no matter one’s individual cultural and faith traditions. We are excited to share with you some traditional Christmas dinner menus from Italy.

What is a Traditional Italian Christmas Dinner?

Food is a magnet for people around the world and especially so at Christmas. There are many different traditional Italian Christmas dinners. In Sicily, sweets and desserts are very prominent. In Puglia, it’s Lasagna and Tortellini, and in Le Marche it’s all varieties of seafood.

Our Chef Antonio has also shared his lamb stew recipe – a typical Marche Christmas dish.

A Note of Gratitude

As 2017 draws to a close, I want to thank all of you for your enthusiastic support of MP TOURS. From travelling on one or more of our tours, to coming out for cooking classes, to talking up your trip with friends and family – we are truly grateful to you.

Whatever your plans are for the Christmas season, we wish you joyful gatherings with people you love, food and good cheer aplenty, and traditions that fill your heart with peace.

We’d love to hear about your traditional Christmas dinners and invite you to tell us what they are by emailing us.

Merry Christmas and Buon Natale!
