Sicily is one of the 20 regions that make up Italy. It is an island just west of the toe of the boot-shaped country and is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Sicily’s history dates back thousands of years and it has been shaped by the influence of many cultures that came to conquer this strategically-positioned island oasis.
MP TOURS began travelling to Sicily when it partnered with Relish Cooking Studio Co-Owner, Maria (Alaimo) Burjoski, a Sicilian by birth from the town of Castrofillipo. The concept for a tour grew out of a shared love of local food and history traditions between the two company owners.
