Pearls of the Adriatic
This is a nine-day tour designed for travelers who want to explore a part of Italy that is largely undiscovered and yet a stunningly beautiful location with the sea, mountains, and quaint medieval towns. Located on the central Adriatic (east) coast of Italy, we spend five mornings cooking with our Master Chef Antonio, eating what we make, learning about and sampling Italian wines, beers, and Prosecco, and then exploring vineyards/olive oil producers (2-3 per trip), historic/archeological sites (towns, churches, Karst caves at Frasassi, cultural treasures), and enjoying informal dinners where the locals congregate. Oh, and lots of gelato every day. We enjoy a 14-course medieval feast, a welcome reception, and always have a surprise or two added in. For example, on the last two trips we went truffle hunting.
We stay at one hotel for the duration of the trip, located right on the sea in a town called Pesaro. We are a ten-minute walk from the historic centre of town and have access to a 16-km gentle bike path and free bicycles from our hotel.
