WHAT OUR TRAVELLERS SAY

MP TOURS NEWSLETTER

Common Questions

FAQs

  • What is the length of an MP TOURS tour?
Our tours average 12 days, including travel. Many travellers choose to add-on a pre- or post-tour and we are happy to help you plan and book the extra time away.
  • Who books our flights?
Travellers have choice when it comes to booking flights. The options are:

    – Book your own flight after speaking with Paula about the group meeting time and place
    – Have our travel consultant book your flight to coincide with the group meet-up
    – Have your travel consultant book your flight to coincide with the group meet-up

Before booking any flights, we will discuss with you important information about airport transfers and any plans you have for pre- and/or post-tour travelling.

  • What clothing should I pack?
We have a relaxed vibe on the tour, so comfortable and casual are the place to begin when choosing what to pack. Comfortable shoes are a must as we stroll through medieval towns and explore the countryside. Although we travel in good weather months like May and September, layering ensures that you are prepared for any weather. Some sites require shoulder and/or knee coverings, so be prepared with a light sweater or scarf. Our best advice when packing is to check the weather a few days before leaving and choose clothing appropriate for the weather.

Visit this blog post for a more detailed packing list.

  • What types of accommodation do we stay in?
As part of our company philosophy to support the local economy, we seek out accommodations that are primarily locally owned and operated. These are often boutique venues, bed & breakfast style, and/or villas. We occasionally choose smaller hotels that have a similar look and feel to the boutique properties but are not wholly local, but are the next best thing in the location we are staying.
  • Should I buy travel insurance?
We highly recommend that you purchase travel (cancellation and interruption) insurance as well as medical insurance. It is your best protection against unforeseen circumstances. You can research and purchase your own insurance, or request a quote from our travel consultant.
  • Which MP TOURS destination is right for me?
We think they all are, of course!

    – If you are a foodie and want to spend time cooking in the kitchen with our Master Chef, the Marche tour – Pearl of the Adriatic – is for you.
    – If you are looking for a grand tour of several iconic towns, along with an immersive cooking and eating experience at a family owned restaurant, and unique cultural explorations, then Treasures of Sicily is for you.
    – The Puglia tour – Tastes of Puglia – is set in two locations. We stay in a stunning seaside location and the historic centre of another more urban location.  We use each location as a base for day trips.

Contact us to discuss what your travel dreams are and we will help you find the best tour for you.
